How to Play: At a Glance

You can learn to play Par Out Golf in just three basic steps

But just like the real thing, mastering it won't be that easy!

Object

The object of the game is for each player to move the tip of their pen down each fairway, from the tee box to the cup in the fewest strokes possible. The player who finishes the 18 hole course with the fewest total strokes is the winner!

Game Play

Step 1: Visualize your approach from the tee-box to the cup. Plan to avoid trees, rocks and large cliffs. All three will stop your shot. You can shoot over water, sand and hills, just try not to stop in them.

Step 2: Memorize and practice your chosen shot path, then place the tip of your pen on the game board (in the tee-box if this is your first shot, or at the end of a previous shot if one has already been taken) and close your eyes...your entire shot must be made with your eyes closed, using only your skill and memory!

Step 3: Now keep your eyes closed and take your shot by moving the pen up the fairway towards the cup. The line you draw represents the path of your ball towards the cup. Once you stop, open your eyes and go back and see if you hit any obstacles, landed in any hazards or hooked it out of bounds. If you cleared it all, mark your shot and keep shooting until you sink it!

That's just about it, and while it may seem easy, it is anything but! Be sure to read through the full rules to learn more about how to keep score and for the official rulings on OB, sand and water shots.
